Discover the Wild: Half-Day Trekking Adventure at LCTW

Embark on an immersive and unforgettable wildlife adventure through the heart of Phou Khao Khouay National Park, one of Laos' most biodiverse and scenic natural landscapes.

Led by a knowledgeable wildlife professional, this guided trek takes you deep into lush forest habitats where conservation and nature come together. Building upon the Bear Forest Walk experience, this extended tour offers close encounters with rescued bears, as well as sightings of sambar deer and muntjac in their peaceful enclosures.

As you continue deeper into the park, the journey becomes even more rewarding. Trekking along a challenging 3-kilometer trail of steep and uneven terrain, you’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of Laos’ thriving wildlife. With some luck and patience, you may encounter gibbons swinging through the canopy and langurs peeking curiously from the trees.

This physically demanding yet deeply rewarding experience also includes a scenic lunch break amid the tranquil forest—a perfect moment to rest, refuel, and take in the beauty of your surroundings. Ideal for nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, and active travelers seeking meaningful, eco-conscious exploration in Laos.

We rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife affected by this trade. In addition, we build animal welfare and conservation capacity through engagement and outreach across Lao PDR.

• Under 4 years old  = Free Of Charge
• Above 4 years old = Same price as adult
