Day 1

Overview

Elephant experience, Tad Sae Waterfall, and the Elephant Lodge

We’ll pick you up between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. at your hotel and drive you to the Elephant Village Camp, where you will learn more about elephants. Spend some intimate one-on-one time with an elephant. During this time, you can observe the elephant, feed it and learn to communicate with it for the most intimate elephant experience in Laos. Afterward, you’ll start your basic mahout training on how to control an elephant by yourself. For lunch, you’ll dine at the Elephant Camp river view restaurant; it’s a buffet lunch served with coffee / tea and drinking water (vegetarian options available).

After lunch, you can bathe your elephant in the Nam Khan river. It’s an exhilarating experience, followed by a boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall, where you can relax with a swim in the cool water.

Afterwards, you’ll have dinner at the Elephant Camp restaurant (set menu served with drinking water) and spend a relaxing night at our Elephant Lodge, with stunning views of the Nam Khan river.

Day 2

Overview

Morning elephant bathing and return

You’ll start by retrieving your elephant from her jungle hideaway and taking her down to the Nam Khan river for an exhilarating bathing experience. It’s a magical way to start the day. Then enjoy breakfast at the Elephant Camp restaurant (set menu with coffee / tea and drinking water) before heading back to your Hotel in Luang Prabang, which you’ll reach between 10:00 and 11:00 am

Notes: schedules and itineraries are approximate and subject to change due to seasonal conditions in the jungle and at the camp. Elephant Village reserves the right to break larger groups into smaller groups and/or operate tour activities in a different order than published above.

Your choice of Twin or Double room at the Elephant Village.
